Started as a customs declarant in another customs brokerage firm while pursuing her studies at Philippine Maritime Institude, Iluminada R. Luistro strived hard to finish her education and pass the licensure examination for customs brokers.

In 1983 Iluminada R. Luistro together with her husband Perry G. Luistro started their own company with the mission of sustaining the businesses of importers and exporters in the Philippines by providing efficient and effective customs brokerage services.

The latter part of the 1980s has brought the company the opportunity to buy their first truck which has continuously multiplied in numbers well into the 1990s. I.R. Luistro Customs Brokerage now has an adequate count of trucks on its fleet to deliver fast and safely the shipments of their clients.
